- Memory Comments: Modules must be ordered and installed in pairs. Maximum configurations require a 64-bit operating system. This system supports either Registered ECC or Unbuffered ECC memory. Mixing Registered ECC and Unbuffered ECC modules is not supported within this system. Using ECC Registered: any configuration up to 48GB can be reached using 1GB, 2GB, 4GB and 8GB single-rank and dual-rank modules, or up to 64GB using two (2) quad-rank 16GB modules and four (4) dual-rank 8GB modules. Using ECC Unbuffered: any configuration up to 16GB can be reached using any combination of 1GB, 2GB, and 4GB ECC-UDIMM modules in four (4) sockets. The two remaining sockets must be unpopulated.
