- Memory Comments: Modules must be ordered and installed in group of three for Triple Channel mode. If 4GB is installed, the recognized memory may be reduced to 3.5GB or less (depending on system configuration and memory allocation). A 64-bit Operating System is required to utilize more than 4GB of memory. Please refer to the system manual for proper installation of DIMMs for Single Channel and Dual Channel configurations. Using Registered ECC DIMMs: any configuration up to 192GB can be reached using 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, and 16GB modules. Using ECC Unbuffered DIMMs: any configuration up to 48GB can be reached using any combination of 1GB, 2GB and 4GB modules.
