- Memory Comments: This system supports Registered ECC (RDIMM) or Unbuffered ECC (ECC UDIMM) or Load Reduced (LRDIMM) memory. Mixing RDIMM, ECC UDIMM and LRDIMM is not supported within this system. If only one processor is installed, only 12 DIMM slots are available. When populating with two processors 24 DIMM slots are available. No more than two ECC UDIMMs may be installed per channel (2DPC). It is recommended to install UDIMMs in first and third banks, leaving second bank (sockets 2, 5, 8, and 11) open. 1.35V LV RDIMMs up to 2DPC. Adding additional memory of 3DPC will raise voltage to 1.5V. Depending on the memory configuration and processor model, the memory speed may run at 1866MHz, 1600MHz, 1333MHz or 1066MHz. See latest ProLiant QuickSpecs for processor models and supported memory speeds. 4GB DDR3-1333 Reg ECC modules come in two versions: 313/4G using x4 and 3138/4G using x8 DRAM. The two parts may be installed in the same system but not within the same memory bank. Use like modules for dual and triple channel operation. 1866MHz and 1600MHz Low Voltage memory requires E5-2600 v2 series processors. Xeon E5-2600 v2 series processors require HP System ROM revision 09/08/2013 or newer. Revision 09/18/2013 or newer is required if using LRDIMMs. Using LRDIMMs: any configuration up to 768GB can be reached using 32GB LRDIMMs. Using 1.35V LV RDIMMs: any configuration up to 512GB can be reached using 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB modules in groups of four using two processors. Maximum memory requires populating sixteen (16) 32GB LV RDIMMs in 2-DIMM-per-channel configuration. Using ECC Registered DIMMs: any configuration up to 384GB can be reached using 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB modules in groups of four using two processors. Maximum memory requires populating twenty-four (24) 16GB RDIMMs. Using ECC Unbuffered DIMMs: any configuration up to 128GB can be reached using 2GB, 4GB and 8GB modules using two processors.
