- Memory Comments: This system supports Registered ECC (RDIMM) or Unbuffered ECC (ECC UDIMM) or Load Reduced (LRDIMM) memory. Mixing RDIMM, ECC UDIMM and LRDIMM is not supported within this system. If only one processor is installed, only 12 DIMM slots are available. When populating with two processors 24 DIMM slots are available. No more than two ECC UDIMMs may be installed per channel (2DPC). It is recommended to install UDIMMs in first and third banks, leaving second bank (sockets 2, 5, 8, and 11) open. 1.35V lOW Voltage RDIMMs up to 2DPC. Adding additional memory of 3DPC will raise voltage to 1.5V. Depending on the memory configuration and processor model, the memory speed may run at 1600MHz, 1333MHz or 1066MHz. See latest ProLiant QuickSpecs for processor models and supported memory speeds. 4GB DDR3-1333 Reg ECC modules come in two versions: using x4 and x8 DRAMs. The two parts may be installed in the same system but not within the same memory bank. Use like modules for dual and triple channel operation. Using LRDIMMs: any configuration up to 768GB can be reached using any combination of 32GB Load Reduced DIMMs. Using ECC Registered DIMMs: any configuration up to 384GB can be reached using 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, and 16GB modules in groups of four. Maximum memory requires populating twenty-four (24) 16GB RDIMMs. Using ECC Unbuffered DIMMs: any configuration up to 128GB can be reached using 1GB, 2GB, and 4GB modules.
