Memory Comments: Modules must be ordered and installed in pairs for Dual Channel mode. Mixing DDR2-533 Registered DIMMs with DDR2-667/800 Registered with Parity DIMMs is not recommended. Mixing x4 and x8 modules is allowed, however not within the same bank. There is a limit of eight total memory ranks installed in the first two Banks of each processor using DDR2-667 and DDR2-800. If this limitation is exceeded, the memory will clock down to 533MHz. Only systems with AMD's Opteron Socket(s) F 45-nm CPU can use the DDR2-800 part numbers. Any configuration up to 64GB can be reached using 512MB, 1GB, 2GB, and 4GB modules in pairs or kits, with two processors installed.
